Dear Colleagues:
ICANN has posted the IANA Report on Redelegation of the .ke Top-Level
Domain.
http://www.iana.org/reports/ke-report-20dec02.htm on 23 Dec. 2002.
In summary, the Kenya Network Information Center, Limited (KENIC), requested
a redelegation of .ke under appropriate oversight of the Kenyan government
from the old Admin Contact, Dr. Shem J. Ochuodho
The new Admin Contact is:
KeNIC Admin.
Kenya Network Information Center (KeNIC)
P.O. Box 14448
Waiyaki Way
CCK Building
Nairobi 00800
Kenya
Email: admin@kenic.or.ke
Voice: +254 24349111
Fax: +254 24348200
ICANN reported that the model Sponsorship Agreement (Triangular situation)
will be used to enter into agreements among ICANN, Kenya Government and
KeNIC as Sponsoring Organization and Admin Contact. Both ICANN/KENYA
Government and KENYA Government/KeNIC agreements have been implemented.
Only KeNIC/ICANN agreement has not yet been signed. However, the
information on IANA database has already been changed to reflect this
redelegation.
http://www.iana.org/root-whois/ke.htm. One notable point on this
redelegation is the old Admin Contact does not either give any indication to
accept to this redelegation or respond to communications by ICANN or KeNIC.
Regards,
ccTLD Secretariat
